The towpath between Rodley and Apperley Bridge, where plastic in the water is a genuine problem for wildlife.

We work the towpath rather than the reserve itself — the reserve has its own volunteer team, and what we take off the towpath is what would otherwise end up in the water.
This is the pick where the wildlife argument is most obvious. Bottles, cans and fishing line, week in and week out.
Flat, easy walking throughout. Two and a half hours, and you can turn back at any point.
Bring gloves if you have them — we can provide bags and try to provide other equipment where we can. Whatever time you have available, however small, will be very much appreciated.
